School Closure Information & Remote Learning

In the event of disruption due to adverse weather conditions or other situations such as a heating failure, CPET/Hatton Park Primary School considers the safety of all children, staff and visitors. Any decision taken to close the school will be made as quickly as possible by the headteacher, in consultation with the CEO, and we will notify all parents/carers as follows:

Radio
We will inform BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and other local radio stations as appropriate. Please ensure you listen early and keep up to date for any announcements and/or updates. They will also publish the information of school closures on their website: www.bbc.co.uk/radiocambridgeshire If you do not hear or see Hatton Park Primary School listed on their website, this means we will be open and your child is expected to attend school as normal.

Email from the School
We will inform parents/carers by an email. It is essential that we hold the most up to date contact details – email addresses and telephone numbers.

Website
An announcement will be published on our school website. This will be on the homepage on the rolling ‘ticker tape’ message.

Local Authority
Details of all school closures will be found on the Local Authority’s website.
https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/schools-and-education/school-closures/

Mr Canavan (Headteacher) is responsible for updating the website in the event of a school closure.

Remote Learning

In the event of school having to provide remote learning then it will be provided either as pre-recorded school lessons or on an individual basis. This will depend on the circumstances for the need for the learning. Parents can also access the Oak National Academy resources at  https://www.thenational.academy
